Alongside my work as a musician for film and television, I have experience in acting, featured performance and supporting artiste work.
In the final series of Netflix’s The Crown, I appeared as a cast member in the credited acting role of Piper to the Sovereign, with dialogue opposite Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II.
Separately, I have worked in various background and supporting artiste roles across film and television. I am comfortable working in period and contemporary settings, following direction on busy sets and maintaining continuity across repeated takes.
Where piping forms part of a scene, I can suggest appropriate tunes and offer guidance on practical or historical details. I understand that musical authenticity is only one element of a production and that the needs of the story, director and wider production come first.
I am based in Glasgow and available to work throughout the UK. I am particularly suited to Scottish, musical and ceremonial roles, but am equally happy working as part of a wider ensemble.
